Our DBA Mis­sion Trip to Savan­nah is fast approach­ing and we hope you will join us. On Fri­day, Novem­ber 7th inter­est­ed folks will join us by 8 a.m. at FBC Lyons to trav­el to Savan­nah, Geor­gia for a one day mis­sion trip. There is no cost for the trip but each per­son will be respon­si­ble for pay­ing for their own lunch. We will be min­is­ter­ing to the home­less of the area dis­trib­ut­ing water, blan­kets, tarps, and food. Please be in prayer for Joshua Woodfin (son of Kyle and Alan­na Woodfin) in his fight with can­cer. There will be a fundrais­er in Alamo to help this won­der­ful fam­i­ly with med­ical expens­es on Sat­ur­day, Sep­tem­ber 13th begin­ning at 8 a.m. in down­town Alamo (the Gar­den area). There will be plen­ty of food and fun as well as a one mile fam­i­ly fun run/walk. Appli­ca­tions are avail­able at the Alamo Pharmacy.

The Mont­gomery Coun­ty Chris­t­ian Learn­ing Cen­ter is doing a great job min­is­ter­ing to High School Stu­dents in Mont­gomery Coun­ty. This is a won­der­ful min­istry that is mak­ing a dif­fer­ence in our com­mu­ni­ty so please check it out and con­sid­er sup­port­ing it with your prayers as well as your checkbook.

I’m excit­ed to announce we will be tak­ing a mis­sion team to work in Sid­ney, which is on Van­cou­ver Island, British Colum­bia (Cana­da) March 28th-April 4th. We will be doing some light con­struc­tion work, host­ing Block Par­ties, as well as help­ing with a Good Fri­day evan­ge­lism event. The cost of the trip is approx­i­mate­ly $1,500 and you will need a pass­port. We will have an appli­ca­tion form ready next week but in the mean­time please be in prayer, seek­ing God’s will con­cern­ing your par­tic­i­pa­tion in this very spe­cial endeav­or.
