2021 RESOLUTIONS

Res­o­lu­tion on Appre­ci­a­tion to Cor­ner­stone, Mod­er­a­tor, and Vice Moderator

Where­as, we, the Exec­u­tive Team and mes­sen­ger of the mem­ber church­es of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, do by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, gath­er togeth­er for our 132nd Annu­al Ses­sion on this sev­en­teenth day of Octo­ber, 2021, in faith­ful response to His call to mis­sions, and in lov­ing coop­er­a­tion with our fel­low Baptists,

And where­as, we have enjoyed the gen­er­ous hos­pi­tal­i­ty of the mem­bers of Cor­ner­stone Bap­tist Church, being warm­ly wel­comed by their pas­tor and boun­ti­ful­ly blessed with good food and fellowship,

And where­as, these pro­ceed­ings have been con­duct­ed under the fine lead­er­ship of a most capa­ble mod­er­a­tor and have been enhanced by the efforts of the vice-moderator, 

There­fore, be it resolved that we extend our deep­est appre­ci­a­tion to the Rev­erend Gaynor Ridgdill, those who pre­pared the food, those who served at the cel­e­bra­tion, and the rest of the mem­bers of Cor­ner­stone Bap­tist Church for their efforts on behalf of this annu­al ses­sion and celebration,

    and to our mod­er­a­tor, Rev. Ker­ry Walk­er, and our vice-mod­er­a­tor, Rev. Bill Black, for 

    their lead­er­ship through­out the past year and dur­ing the annu­al session;

And be it fur­ther resolved that we express to our Lord through renewed com­mit­ments to His ser­vice and through faith­ful sup­port of this asso­ci­a­tion of Bap­tist Church­es our gratitude

    for being called to share in His ministry;

    for our rich Bap­tist her­itage of reli­gious lib­er­ty, coop­er­a­tive mis­sions, and individual 

    soul competency;

    and for His sus­tain­ing pro­vi­sions which makes our mis­sion­ary efforts possible.

 

Res­o­lu­tion on Appre­ci­a­tion of Lau­ra Hay

Where­as, we the mem­bers of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, do here­by extend our grat­i­tude to Mrs. Lau­ra Hay for over twen­ty years of ser­vice in shar­ing the Gospel with the next gen­er­a­tions. Mrs. Lau­ra Hay’s love for see­ing youth come to Christ is an exem­plary exam­ple that has inspired and encour­aged us. 

Where­as, Mrs. Lau­ra Hay’s gen­er­ous giv­ing of her time, ener­gy, resources, and gifts have been a bless­ing to the church­es of the asso­ci­a­tion, the com­mu­ni­ty, and the King­dom of God.

Be it there­fore resolved, that we, as an asso­ci­a­tion, should strive to fol­low Mrs. Lau­ra Hay’s exam­ple of Titus 2 in reach­ing the youth for Christ.

Be it fur­ther resolved, that the 132nd Annu­al Ses­sion of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, do here­by express our love and deep­est thanks to Mrs. Lau­ra Hay.

Res­o­lu­tion on Appre­ci­a­tion of Bran­don Braddy

Where­as, we, the mem­bers of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, are grate­ful to our Lord for bless­ing us with the strong and faith­ful lead­er­ship of Mr. Bran­don Brad­dy as Trea­sur­er of the asso­ci­a­tion for 16 years,

Where­as, Mr. Bran­don Brad­dy has faith­ful­ly served in every duty of Trea­sur­er which he has been entrust­ed dur­ing these 16 years. He has pro­vid­ed cru­cial lead­er­ship for this body of Baptists.

Where­as, Mr. Bran­don Brad­dy has inspired, equipped, and encour­aged the asso­ci­a­tion through sound coun­sel, good stew­ard­ship, and exem­plary service.

Be it there­fore resolved that the exec­u­tive team and mes­sen­gers of this meet­ing of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion go on record to for­mal­ly thank Mr. Bran­don Brad­dy for his ser­vice as the Treasurer.

 

Res­o­lu­tion on Appre­ci­a­tion of Jason Corbett

Where­as, we, the mem­bers of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, have been blessed by Rev. Jason Cor­bett through his sac­ri­fi­cial time and energy,

Where­as, Rev. Jason Cor­bett has served the church­es of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion by pro­vid­ing lawn care and main­te­nance to the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion grounds,

Be it there­fore resolved, that we, the Exec­u­tive Team and mes­sen­gers of the 132nd Annu­al Ses­sion of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, rec­og­nizes and appre­ci­ates the ser­vice of Rev. Jason Corbett,

Be it final­ly resolved, that we com­mit to fol­low the exam­ple that our friend and broth­er has set before us. 

 

Res­o­lu­tion on Appre­ci­a­tion of Gady Youmans

Where­as we, the mem­bers of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, wish to extend its appre­ci­a­tion to Gady Youmans who has shared his gifts with the church­es of the asso­ci­a­tion in faith­ful response to His call to mission,

Where­as, Gady Youmans has advised the mem­bers of the Finance Team and the lead­er­ship of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion in cre­at­ing Inter­nal Finan­cial Con­trols to the bet­ter­ment of the asso­ci­a­tion­al finances,

Be it there­fore resolved that we, the 132nd Annu­al Ses­sion of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, do here­by express our heart­felt grat­i­tude to Gady Youmans for his gen­er­ous and metic­u­lous atten­tion to the good stew­ard­ship of the finan­cial resources of this association.

 

Res­o­lu­tion on the Faith­ful­ness of Mrs. Bet­ty Jane Fountain

Where­as, it is only through faith­ful­ness of God’s peo­ple in the church­es of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion that asso­ci­a­tion­al work continue,

Where­as, over the years of Mrs. Bet­ty Jane Foun­tain’s love for Jesus and His gift of sal­va­tion was always a light as she served on the Nom­i­nat­ing Team and led and par­tic­i­pat­ed in the Wom­en’s Mis­sion­ary Union. She led prayer walks, encour­aged, equipped, and ele­vat­ed women in dis­ci­ple­ship and mis­sion, and touched the souls of every­one around her with her love and the light of Christ. It is the exam­ple of such lead­ers that inspires this min­istry to continue.

Where­as, the ded­i­ca­tion of each lay per­son and pas­tor should not be tak­en light­ly, but every­one is seen as a min­is­ter of God’s grace through the ser­vice God allows each per­son to be a part of. 

Be it there­fore resolved, that we, the exec­u­tive team and mes­sen­gers of the 132nd annu­al ses­sion of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, are grate­ful for the faith­ful­ness of Mrs. Bet­ty Jane Foun­tain to her Lord, to her church, and to the association,

Be it fur­ther resolved, that we com­mit to fol­low the exam­ple that our friend and sis­ter set before us over the years of her faith­ful service.

Be it final­ly resolved, that we hon­or the mem­o­ry of Mrs. Bet­ty Jane Foun­tain and her desire of fol­low­ing Christ by giv­ing praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, and serv­ing Him with our whole hearts in our per­son­al lives, in the local church, and in the min­istry of the association.

 

Res­o­lu­tion on the Faith­ful­ness of Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr.

Where­as, we, the exec­u­tive team and mes­sen­gers of the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, rec­og­nize that it is only through those who have been called by our Lord Christ Jesus to share their gifts with the asso­ci­a­tion of church­es that our asso­ci­a­tion con­tin­ues to thrive,

Where­as, Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr., of Glen­wood, Geor­gia, has faith­ful­ly served as a finan­cial advi­sor to the asso­ci­a­tion on the Finance Min­istry Team. Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr. pro­vid­ed sound coun­sel for the good stew­ard­ship of the finan­cial resources of the Daniell Bap­tist Association,

Where­as, the ded­i­ca­tion of each lay per­son and pas­tor not be tak­en light­ly, but every­one is seen as a min­is­ter of God’s grace through the ser­vice God allows each per­son to be a part of,

Be it there­fore resolved, that we covenant togeth­er to pray for Mrs. Rhon­da Horne and fam­i­ly as God guides and pro­tects them in the com­ing days,

Be it fur­ther resolved that we are for­ev­er grate­ful and indebt­ed to the faith­ful­ness and stew­ard­ship of Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr.,

Be it final­ly resolved, that we hon­or the mem­o­ry of Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr. and his devo­tion to our Lord, Jesus Christ. 

 

Res­o­lu­tion of Dedication

Where­as, we, the exec­u­tive team and mes­sen­gers to the Daniell Bap­tist Asso­ci­a­tion, do remem­ber and hon­or our broth­ers and sis­ters who serve the asso­ci­a­tion with fer­vent love and ded­i­ca­tion to our God,

Be it there­fore resolved, that we ded­i­cate this 132nd book to the hum­ble ser­vants of Christ Jesus, Mrs. Bet­ty Jane Foun­tain and Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr.
