Our 2nd Annual Leadership Institute Graduation Celebration at the Wheeler prison in Alamo this year was a great blessing. We not only had our Prison Ministry Team present but Dr. Robert White (Executive Director), Dr. Frank Nuckolls, and Bryan Nowak from our Georgia Baptist Convention were also present to celebrate what God is doing. This year 90 inmates received certificates honoring their dedication and hard work. Please continue to be in prayer for our Prison Ministry as it is making a difference in the lives of inmates, their families as well as the employees. Also, please continue to be in prayer as we make plans to begin a transition center to help inmates transition into society once released. We are praying for land, buildings, and $20,000 to help us begin. Once that is in place we can be “up and running†within 3 months. Thanks for praying!
Have you ever thought about planting a new church to help reach communities for Jesus?
Have you ever wondered how we can reduce the number of lostness in our 4 counties?
Have you ever question what it would be like to step out in faith and attempt the outlandish for Jesus?
Have you wondered if God was leading you or your church to do something different………..cutting edge for the kingdom?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions I encourage you to be at our upcoming Churches Planting Churches workshop January 9–10, 2015. The workshop will take place at FBC Lyons and will begin with dinner being served at 6 p.m. The schedule is 6–8:30 on Friday and 8–4:30 on Saturday and is for pastors, staff, and lay leaders of both small and large churches. This workshop will help churches in the following ways:
Begin to envision what God may do through you and your congregation
Overcome barriers, answer fears and objections to starting a new church
Implement a six-step process to successfully plant new churches
This workshop is going to be a wonderful experience and I hope you will make plans to be there. The cost is $15 per person and is open to anyone who is interested in reaching our community for Jesus. Reservations must be made through our DBA office by calling 912–583-2713. Please send your $15 check to:

Take a risk this weekend: invite a neighbor or friend to church. Statistics say most will accept. Who knows what God might do! –Lee Strobel
