2021 RESOLUTIONS
Resolution on Appreciation to Cornerstone, Moderator, and Vice Moderator
Whereas, we, the Executive Team and messenger of the member churches of the Daniell Baptist Association, do by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, gather together for our 132nd Annual Session on this seventeenth day of October, 2021, in faithful response to His call to missions, and in loving cooperation with our fellow Baptists,
And whereas, we have enjoyed the generous hospitality of the members of Cornerstone Baptist Church, being warmly welcomed by their pastor and bountifully blessed with good food and fellowship,
And whereas, these proceedings have been conducted under the fine leadership of a most capable moderator and have been enhanced by the efforts of the vice-moderator,
Therefore, be it resolved that we extend our deepest appreciation to the Reverend Gaynor Ridgdill, those who prepared the food, those who served at the celebration, and the rest of the members of Cornerstone Baptist Church for their efforts on behalf of this annual session and celebration,
and to our moderator, Rev. Kerry Walker, and our vice-moderator, Rev. Bill Black, for
their leadership throughout the past year and during the annual session;
And be it further resolved that we express to our Lord through renewed commitments to His service and through faithful support of this association of Baptist Churches our gratitude
for being called to share in His ministry;
for our rich Baptist heritage of religious liberty, cooperative missions, and individual
soul competency;
and for His sustaining provisions which makes our missionary efforts possible.
Resolution on Appreciation of Laura Hay
Whereas, we the members of the Daniell Baptist Association, do hereby extend our gratitude to Mrs. Laura Hay for over twenty years of service in sharing the Gospel with the next generations. Mrs. Laura Hay’s love for seeing youth come to Christ is an exemplary example that has inspired and encouraged us.
Whereas, Mrs. Laura Hay’s generous giving of her time, energy, resources, and gifts have been a blessing to the churches of the association, the community, and the Kingdom of God.
Be it therefore resolved, that we, as an association, should strive to follow Mrs. Laura Hay’s example of Titus 2 in reaching the youth for Christ.
Be it further resolved, that the 132nd Annual Session of the Daniell Baptist Association, do hereby express our love and deepest thanks to Mrs. Laura Hay.
Resolution on Appreciation of Brandon Braddy
Whereas, we, the members of the Daniell Baptist Association, are grateful to our Lord for blessing us with the strong and faithful leadership of Mr. Brandon Braddy as Treasurer of the association for 16 years,
Whereas, Mr. Brandon Braddy has faithfully served in every duty of Treasurer which he has been entrusted during these 16 years. He has provided crucial leadership for this body of Baptists.
Whereas, Mr. Brandon Braddy has inspired, equipped, and encouraged the association through sound counsel, good stewardship, and exemplary service.
Be it therefore resolved that the executive team and messengers of this meeting of the Daniell Baptist Association go on record to formally thank Mr. Brandon Braddy for his service as the Treasurer.
Resolution on Appreciation of Jason Corbett
Whereas, we, the members of the Daniell Baptist Association, have been blessed by Rev. Jason Corbett through his sacrificial time and energy,
Whereas, Rev. Jason Corbett has served the churches of the Daniell Baptist Association by providing lawn care and maintenance to the Daniell Baptist Association grounds,
Be it therefore resolved, that we, the Executive Team and messengers of the 132nd Annual Session of the Daniell Baptist Association, recognizes and appreciates the service of Rev. Jason Corbett,
Be it finally resolved, that we commit to follow the example that our friend and brother has set before us.
Resolution on Appreciation of Gady Youmans
Whereas we, the members of the Daniell Baptist Association, wish to extend its appreciation to Gady Youmans who has shared his gifts with the churches of the association in faithful response to His call to mission,
Whereas, Gady Youmans has advised the members of the Finance Team and the leadership of the Daniell Baptist Association in creating Internal Financial Controls to the betterment of the associational finances,
Be it therefore resolved that we, the 132nd Annual Session of the Daniell Baptist Association, do hereby express our heartfelt gratitude to Gady Youmans for his generous and meticulous attention to the good stewardship of the financial resources of this association.
Resolution on the Faithfulness of Mrs. Betty Jane Fountain
Whereas, it is only through faithfulness of God’s people in the churches of the Daniell Baptist Association that associational work continue,
Whereas, over the years of Mrs. Betty Jane Fountain’s love for Jesus and His gift of salvation was always a light as she served on the Nominating Team and led and participated in the Women’s Missionary Union. She led prayer walks, encouraged, equipped, and elevated women in discipleship and mission, and touched the souls of everyone around her with her love and the light of Christ. It is the example of such leaders that inspires this ministry to continue.
Whereas, the dedication of each lay person and pastor should not be taken lightly, but everyone is seen as a minister of God’s grace through the service God allows each person to be a part of.
Be it therefore resolved, that we, the executive team and messengers of the 132nd annual session of the Daniell Baptist Association, are grateful for the faithfulness of Mrs. Betty Jane Fountain to her Lord, to her church, and to the association,
Be it further resolved, that we commit to follow the example that our friend and sister set before us over the years of her faithful service.
Be it finally resolved, that we honor the memory of Mrs. Betty Jane Fountain and her desire of following Christ by giving praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, and serving Him with our whole hearts in our personal lives, in the local church, and in the ministry of the association.
Resolution on the Faithfulness of Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr.
Whereas, we, the executive team and messengers of the Daniell Baptist Association, recognize that it is only through those who have been called by our Lord Christ Jesus to share their gifts with the association of churches that our association continues to thrive,
Whereas, Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr., of Glenwood, Georgia, has faithfully served as a financial advisor to the association on the Finance Ministry Team. Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr. provided sound counsel for the good stewardship of the financial resources of the Daniell Baptist Association,
Whereas, the dedication of each lay person and pastor not be taken lightly, but everyone is seen as a minister of God’s grace through the service God allows each person to be a part of,
Be it therefore resolved, that we covenant together to pray for Mrs. Rhonda Horne and family as God guides and protects them in the coming days,
Be it further resolved that we are forever grateful and indebted to the faithfulness and stewardship of Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr.,
Be it finally resolved, that we honor the memory of Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr. and his devotion to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Resolution of Dedication
Whereas, we, the executive team and messengers to the Daniell Baptist Association, do remember and honor our brothers and sisters who serve the association with fervent love and dedication to our God,
Be it therefore resolved, that we dedicate this 132nd book to the humble servants of Christ Jesus, Mrs. Betty Jane Fountain and Mr. Colen L. Horne, Jr.
